2016 has been a nice year for conferences speaking for me: OUG Norway first, Chicago for Kscope16 then, followed by OUG Bulgaria then and finally closing with UKOUG Tech 16.

2017 sounded a bit more challenging as the “trend” topics for conference selection committees seem to be more Cloud centric and on the Business Analytics side there is a focus on different things like “doing by hand with APEX and a database PL/SQL script” (sorry, not what I call Business Analytics things).

Luckily we still managed to sparkle the curiosity of some people and so the first conference having accepted our proposals for 2017 are here.

• The Harmony 2017, OUGF Spring Conference May 17-18, 2017 (Helsinki, Finland)
• Tech Experience 2017, OGH June 15-16, 2017 (Amersfoort, Netherlands)

For both these events the topic will be OBIEE DevOps with docker containers: how containers can help general DevOps activities from environments provisioning to automated CI/CD processes.
